After 414 PO. Cales al Avandy continued to consolidate his business interests, both in the Central Ocean and elsewhere in Drak. Many of the sailors and traders that he employed were family members, many of whom were, like himself, younger sons of families who inherited little from traditional Qitlan family units who believed strongly in the laws of primogenitor. Also, under the influence of his strong willed and very competent wife, Naria, and his seven equally strong-willed daughters, Cales found himself hiring many female family members who had never before been given equal opportunity in Qitlan's very male-dominated world.

By also stationing selective family members in cities and on islands within his Central Ocean domain, Cales was able to continue his policy of keeping local employees and artisans in well paid and responsible positions, including many in top management. Because he preferred to depend on trusted people, he actually took little part in the local political affairs of the many islands. In all honesty, Cales was a brilliant trader, sailor, and strategist, but he took no joy at managing large enterprises. To his great pleasure, his eldest daughter, Mithrania, known as "Nego", was a brilliant manager and planner, inheriting all her parents' instincts for business.

It was Nego that first suggested that the business responsibilities be distributed among the immediate family. This was an earthshattering suggestion, as all were female. But in 425, Cales proclaimed the founding of the Sepdomoj Trading Company. More on the Sepdomoj and how it operates can be found in another article.

The northern islands of Chaton (and the largest one to the south) have all had their names changed to memorialize the seven daughters of Cales al Avandy. The smaller islands to the south that had been awarded to Cales as part of the war displacement have been renamed the "Edzoj" or "Husbands" Islands, and all have been named for Cales' sons-in-law. The entire nation of Chaton is governed by the same governing councils that rule the Sepdomoj, and which are described elsewhere.

The Edzoj Islands are the tropical paradise where wealthy Sepdomoj traders, managers, and retirees own massive manors and estates. The workers on the islands, including servants, artisans, and farmers, live far more luxurious lives than leaders of many less fortunate nations. Without question, Chaton is the wealthiest and most modern nation on the face of the planet.

CHATON ISLAND - (Formerly ZHATON ISLAND) The Capitol city ofChaton and the Sepdomoj Trading Company.

CRION ISLAND - (Formerly ARASHCHA ISLAND) Residential and resort island especially popular with, though not limited to, members of the House of Oro.

ELETHUS ISLAND - (Formerly MANYEZAV ISLAND) Residential and resort island especially popular with, though not limited to, members of the House of Folio.

ELVANDER ISLAND - (Formerly RASKIEV ISLAND) Residential and resort island especially popular with, though not limited to, members of the House of Fajro.

FAJRO ISLAND - (Formerly NOVKARKOV ISLAND) Agricultural Island.

FOLIO ISLAND - (Formerly BOROSA ISLAND) Agricultural Island.
