| Warning to Anyone who Wishes to Exchange Information Please Read: Genealogical Privacy - A Contrarian's View If you send me information, it will be shared with anyone who wishes it, and no attempt will be made to hide it. If you do not feel comfortable with this attitude or want to hide family secrets, do not share them with me! I don't want to know, frankly, and I have no way to select out individual people or facts other than not including them in the first place. Keep your secrets to yourself, please. |

Our Family Lines are On-LineWe have about 350,000 ancestors and cousins of the various lines that ultimately descend to our grandchildren on-line. These lines are available on GenCircles and also on RootsWeb WorldConnect (in databases Lareau-01, Lareau-02, and Lareau-20).Because the online genealogy databases automatically censor information about living people, it is not possible to determine how I and my grandchildren are related to the lines documented in GenCircles and RootsWeb. If you are interested in our closer relatives and their connections to the larger ddatabases, you can find that information in my Close Cousins Genealogical Tables.
Stop by and feel free to take any information I have that can be of use to you.
Pitcairn and Norfolk Islands GenealogyHere you will find genealogical information on the families of some of the crewmembers of the ill-fated HMS Bounty on its 1787 voyage that ended in the famous mutiny. Extensive information is available on those mutineers who settled on Pitcairn, and later whose descendants moved on to Norfolk Island. Information is also available here on families of both loyalist and mutineer crewmembers that settled in England, Australia, New Zealand, the USA, and South Africa.

| How About a Genealogy Board Game? I was at GenCon98, GenCon99, and GenCon2000, the game convention in Milwaukee, and I got a chance to play a very interesting game. It us called ANCESTOR HUNT, and it's a great (and funny) way of introducing newcomers to genealogy. It could also be useful for genealogists to play with their families, perhaps giving long-suffering spouses and children some idea of what genealogists do and why. The designer isn't on the Internet, and he didn't ask me to put up this notice. I'm doing it because I really enjoyed the game, and I think you will too. Write and request information about the game from: Quest Enterprises P.O. Box 100194 Milwaukee, WI 53210 |
