Cales al Avandy
Cales al Avandy was born in the year 351 PO into the very traditional family of a Qitlan caravan trader. A younger son of a younger son, he was frustrated for many years as his better-than-average trading skills were usually ignored in a culture where the power to make important decisions was firmly held in the hands of the elders, and passed down strictly into the waiting hands of the first born sons of respective clans. It was at this point that he accepted the invitation to join the crew of a trading vessel about to embark on a perilous voyage. He learned how to overcome the dangers of the sea and human stupidity. Cales had no intent to return to the desert - the sea was now in his blood. Without even so much as a short return to his family home, he used part of the proceeds he earned to buy his way into partnership with two other traders in a well-worn, but seaworthy ship, and entered the lucrative coastal trade. Within a few years, his innate business sense had led to above-average profits, the purchase of two additional ships, and trade routes that covered many ports in the northern areas of the Felinian continent. You can read a more detailed biography of Cales, his daughters, his family, and the Sepdomoj if you click here.

Mithrania al Cales "Nego"
A large, motherly soul, Mithrania, the eldest daughter, was the ultimate caregiver and mother. She devoted her life to the helping of children, her own, her relatives, and strangers. It was through her dominant influence that the family face was firmly instilled on the Sepdomoj business empire. She was Estrino (425-471), and was the 1st Chair throughout that period. She and her father were the most important figures in Sepdomoj history. She was married twice, 1st to Berus Gamalmir, and 2nd to Nargon Sath.

Thancelene al Cales "Korako"
Perhaps in reaction to her elder sister's concern for others, Thanceline, the 2nd daughter, was a beautiful, yet utterly selfish exhibitionist. She spent her younger days as an erotic dancer. Records of her life during that early period were sketchy and rumor-filled. Through the years, several high-visibility claims of maternity have been filed, most of which were quietly settled by the Estrino with little fanfare. She settled down only when she found an equally powerful and publically visible companion, Soltar Taflas. Served as Estrino (425-467).

Triciana al Cales "Fajro"
Triciana, the 6th daughter, was the family rebel. Preferring almost any culture to her own, she and her family traveled in search of the ultimate dream. She never found her nirvana, but spread her family's reach to some of the most remote regions of Felinio. Served as Estrino (425-428), then left Chaton. She returned after the death of her father, serving for ten more years (447-457). From 428-447, her father and family handled the affairs of her house. She was married to Elvander Belf.

Celebria al Cales "Folio"
Celebria, the fourth daughter, was the family intellectual. She and her husband, Elethus Valon, have studied the cultures, philosophies, and motivations of countless cultures, providing that information to all her relatives, and helping to build a strong foundation to all the family enterprises. She served as Estrino (425-527), and has always been the scribe, historian, and chronicler of the Septimoj.

Gwyndryth al Cales "Akvo"
Gwyndryth, the third daughter, and her husband, Rand Zircopian, were the wanderers of the family. They constantly sought new, exciting vistas, travelling throughout most of the known world. With an abiding interest in their physical condition, both were also highly athletic and physically strong. She hated life on Chaton, and wished no part in Septimoj affairs. She grudgingly served as Estrino for 5 years after the death of her father, until her daughter was old enough to take the position. She never again returned to Chaton after that.

Amethine al Cales "Oro"
Old before her years, Amethine, the 5th daughter, well suited Crion Falantar, so much older than she. From her earliest days, Amethine was a serious business woman, and although the business world was and is not a place for the women of the Seven Houses, her behind-the-scenes activities strongly supported her husband's position as her father's long-time junior partner. Indeed, her commercial skills far outstripped the male faces who appeared to be in leadership positions. Estrino (425-487). She was a somewhat abrasive, rather humorless young woman, seeing herself as "eminently practical." It was said that a rebuke by Oro was the ultimate fear of any high-ranking male Sepdomoj employee or husband, and what made it most bothersome, is that she was seldom wrong!

Argenstone al Cales "Tero"
Every family has its clown. Argenstone, the youngest daughter, never took the world seriously. With her broad sense of humor, her amusing, if cynical, way of speaking, she has guaranteed that no member of her family can take themselves too seriously. Very informal in her dealings with others, she often served as the "point of first contact" with the Estrino, and as a mediator both in business and intra-family conflict. She served as Estrino for longer than any of her sisters (425-528), and as 2nd Chair (471-528) after Nego died. She and her husband, Nargon Chan, a figure as beloved as she, lived nearly all their lives on Chaton, and were very happy there.
