UPPER LANDING - The hamlet of St. Paul was divided into two sections created by natural breaks in the bluffs . Lambert's Landing, located
at the foot of Jackson Street, was the primary site, and the one first encountered by boats coming up the river. The secondary landing site was called Upper Landing. It was located at the foot of
Chestnut & Eagle Streets, near Seven Corners. The area had its own business and residential
district known as Uppertown.[KZ10]
